Queensland also offers the 491 small business owner pathway where you can receive an invitation for the 491 visa if you:

Are under 45 years old
Buy a business in regional Queensland (Gold Coast is regional) for $100,000
Run the business for 6 months
Employ 1 person 20 hours a week
Have a positive skill assessment in an occupation on the 491 occupation list
Score at least 65 points on the points test

The 491 visa leads to permanent residence after three years through the 191 visa as long as you live, work and study in a regional area and earn at least $53,900 taxable income each year.

You may be eligible for immediate permanent residence in Australia through the 132 business talent visa if you:

Are under 55 years old (exemptions available)
Have assets of $1.5m to invest in Australia

You may be eligible for permanent residence in Australia in 2 to 4 years under the 188A business innovation visa or 188B business investor visa if you:

Are under 55 years old (exemptions available)
Have assets of $800,000 to invest and run a business in Australia (188A visa) OR
Have assets of $2.25m and want to invest $1.5m for 4 years in Australia (188B visa)

You may be eligible for permanent residence in Australia in 4 years under the 188C significant investor visa if you:

Have $5m to invest in Australia
Visit Australia at least 40 days each year OR
Have a partner that wants to live in Australia at least 6 months each year
